Nothing like a splendid shock-absorber and the same goes for an old busted one that has started to leak oil and gas. But, after almost 30 years on the road I think it’s very reasonable for the dampers to ask for some TLC. Martin noted that one of them was leaking oil and that was the sign for refurbishment. It will cost around 4’000 SEK to have it done by an expert but to get a new set of Öhlins would set us back some 17’000 SEK… and then the bike would no longer be original, which is the way I want to keep it. So now we are just waiting for some news from the workshop when the shocks are ready so we can fit them back on to “WhitePearl”. Woop-woop!
