So six weeks down the road our brave rider Burgerman is under the impression that he should rather be called Captain Ahab and the pictures
tell the story all by it self. After a “gentle” brush with the tarmac doing around 70 km/h the bones took the fall and the result was a lot of small pieces that had to be screwed together. The healing process is going really well and soon he won’t be hopping around on one leg any more and then it won’t be long before he is back on track.
Now all I can think of is the amazing healing process where he has been ahead of schedule all the time. The doctor said that they do 50% and the mental strength of the patient is the remaining 50%. So if you wine and cry like a little school girl you’re going to have a long road to recovery but if you do it like Burgerman and focus on the positive and set your targets up ahead… things will happen.
I remember at one point he was sharing room with another patient that had been treated for problems with his feet but now was OK however the dude could not stop yammering about how bad it HAD BEEN… talk about negative attitude but he also looked like he was permanently sick and miserable… the power of the mind!
So now we need to focus on the new targets ahead and that is new rides, be it 2 or 4 wheels but it is a lot of fun scavenging the internet for cool rides. If you really want it – finance and everything else will some how fall in place… isn’t that magic 🙂
Yours
