It was a magic moment several month ago when we had Julbord and after having consumed a fair amount of seasonal festive lubrication decided to set the target for LostRiders 2013 to do Finland. This seemingly quiet and friendly neighbourhood country with so much forrest and lakes and magic mystery roads is just waiting for us to be explored. Not to mention what a splendid place it would be to get lost in – Vodka, Mosquitos and Saunas… what could possibly go wrong 🙂
Looking for advice on the web this website ( http://www.rantatie.com/?lang=en ) seem to provide some sort of insight to the costal region where we aim to focus our road adventures where apparently English and Swedish are common laguages so at least we can ask for directions.
Looking at the webcams in the region you won’t get much of an inspiration to ride now as the roads are covered with snow and ice. Several of the ice-roads across lakes are still open. Here in southern part of Sweden the winter keeps us in a firm grip and news talk of a new snow storm arriving tonight so looking at old picture from LostRiders adventures is the best inspiration.
Hang in there guys – spring will come… eventually
